Cryogenic Transfer Lines

Introduction

Cryogenic Transfer Lines represent the highways through which fluids are being transported in cryogenic systems.

Transfer lines can vary from very simple to very complex designs (multi-fluids and temperatures), from very short to very long.

Cryogenic transfer lines are in effect cryostats and their design is by no means trivial, given the very large temperature gradients between the inner and outer side of the line, and the associated phenomena - contraction, frost formation, etc. Given these particularities, a good thermal insulation has to be ensured to avoid energy losses and therefore boil-off, reduced cooling power, etc.

Quantum Technology has a long history of designing efficient transfer lines and distribution systems, and our costs can hardly be beaten.
